Institution Info

Estonian Business School was established in 1988 as the first private university in Estonia. The University was established by professor Madis Habakuk (Estonia), professor Marshall Fitzgerald (USA) and Mr Ilmar Martens (Canada).

The founding of EBS in 1988 represents an important milestone in the spread of higher education of business administration in Estonia. It is a year that marks the beginning of academic education in business in Estonia and the country's participation in international research and study networks that have been decisive for the formation of the Estonian business links since Estonian re-independence.

In 2008 the entire University and the Alumni join in a celebration of the 20th anniversary of Estonian Business School.

The highlights of the anniversary take place on December 19 and 20, yet various academic, sports, cultural and music events dedicated to the occasion will be organised throughout the year.
