Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School was founded in 1953 by the Professor and entrepreneur André Vlerick, and has been Belgium’s leading management school for over half a century. We are the autonomous management school of Ghent University and KU Leuven and have important international alliances with universities and business schools all over the world, such as Peking University in China, and the University of Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa.
As an academic management School, research is central to our mission. Our faculty and research staff work on a variety of research initiatives leading to academic publications, management cases and textbooks. Together with other European schools, our School has also pioneered research into corporate social responsibility.
With a yearly turnover of 30,3 million euro, more than 800 MBA and Masters students, 6,200 executive education enrolments, 101 company-specific programmes and shouldered by 180 staff members, we strongly advocate life-long learning. Our School provides students, executives and entrepreneurs with education that is academically sound, fosters an international mindset, addresses leading edge managerial issues and develops an entrepreneurial attitude. We deliver learning with impact which meets the highest quality standards. As one of a select group of institutions Vlerick holds the three main international accreditations: the American AACSB, the British AMBA and the European EQUIS quality label. Over 14.000 active alumni in more than 100 different countries are proof of Vlerick’s world-wide success.

Many countries claim to be ‘at the heart of Europe’ -but only Belgium really is! Based in the medieval cities of Ghent and Leuven, you are less than two hours from Paris, whilst Frankfurt, London and Amsterdam are only three hours away. Brussels is not only the Capital of Belgium, the city also houses the headquarters of the European Union, NATO and many other global institutions. In addition, several thousand international companies have their headquarters or operational centres based in the area. Both Ghent and Leuven are bustling student towns, with beautiful medieval centres highlighted by abbeys, churches, museums and historical buildings.
Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School is one of a select group of institutions in the world to hold all 3 of the major international accreditations relevant to the world of management education: EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB.
