Student Life
Eight years ago RISEBA students established the Student Council (SC) in order to safeguard students interests, to enhance student life and to create opportunities for personal growth and development.
Our moto is
RISEBA SC mission is to assisst students in almost every aspect of student life during their studies at RISEBA. We talk to the management of students behalf; organise students social events and sport tournaments. Some of our latest events are Freshmen Party, Innovation Tournament, Love Party, Summer Session etc.
We are a bridge bewteen students and RISEBA management and administration.
RISEBA Sport
RISEBA has active and rich social life. Every student has a chance to participate in free sport trainings,
improving life in university with student council, and some other activities.
What are RISEBA sport activities?
Right now we can offer Basketball and Volleyball, but if you want to take a part in UNIVERSIADE competition,

Basketball
Has one of the best coaches in Latvia - Juris Bruveris, RISEBA takes a part in SEB Student Basketball League and
making an image of sporty and active school.
Would you like to train with our team?
You have a possibility to come on trainings that take place every Tuesday at 21:00, in
gymnasium sport hall on P.Lejina street 12.
Volleybal
Second year RISEBA has volleyball with the coach Arturs Plume. Women
student competitions all over the Latvia.
you can visit trainings every Wednesday and Thursday at 16:00 in 34.secondary school, Kandavas str.4.
Latvian Universiade
The Latvian Universiade is a multi-sport event, organized for universities of Latvia by Latvian
Higher Educational Institution Sport Unity. The name is a combination of the words "University" and "Olympiad".
RISEBA is an active member of this competition in volleyball, basketball, football and other sports.
Sport and Student Council (SC)
We are grateful to SC for making sport activity in RISEBA. Working hard, sport department improves sport conditions
and makes new possibilities for students. Also, SC is responsible for providing the bursaries for the most active athletes.
