The Evangelical Theological Faculty (ETF) is located in the Heverlee district of the historic Flemish University City of Leuven (Louvain), just 19 kilometers East of Brussels. The availability of the theological and other libraries alone (over 5 million volumens) makes its location one of the most attractive places for theological study and research. Both the ETF's state recognition for its degrees and the evangelical persuasion of its scholars serving on the faculty placed the ETF in a unique position on the European continent. Though ETF is primarily European, it welcomes faculty and students from elsewhere for the purpose to strengthen the evangelical churches on the continent and even world wide.

The ETF Peda (= campus) includes student housing which is located in the same complex as the classrooms and offices.
The campus has 45 rooms and 19 studios in different price ranges available for students. Studios are equipped with a loft, toilet and showers. The larger studios also have a kitchen.
Rental prizes depend upon size and facilities. Rent is paid monthly. In principle, a room is rented for 10 or 12 months. The Peda is intended primarily for ETF students, but it is also open to other Christian students studying in Leuven.
The campus is governed by the pedacommissie (= housing committee), who is subordinate to the Board of Trustees of the ETF. The Peda has its own bylaws.

How to rent a room at the campus?
Once accepted as a student at the ETF, in early June you will be informed and you will automatically receive an application form for a room in the Peda.
In mid-June the pedacommissie decides on applications. We do our best to assign rooms to all new students who have applied for one.
The rooms are allocated in order of notification, taking into account the students' personal preferences as much as possible. Studios are as a priority allocated to married couples and older students. Of course we can never guarantee that every applicant will eventually be assigned a room in the Peda.
When the student signs the rental agreement, (s)he pays a deposit of one month's rent and a one time fee of € 80. This is for the city tax and common services (use of washing machine, etc.).
When can I move in to my room?
If you have been allocated a room or studio, you can generally move in during the introduction weekend. This will take place for both BA and MA students from 25-27 September 2010. Upon arrival at the weekend, your lease will be signed and you will receive the key to your room. After registering for studies at the ETF you will automatically receive an invitation for this weekend in August.
