Atilim University was founded by the Atilim Foundation on 15 July 1997 to serve as a Foundation University in the capacity of a legal entity pursuant to provisions of Law no. 2547 concerning the Foundation of Higher Education Institutes.
Atilim’s goal is to develop individuals with the capability of attaining and putting to use the universal information required in the age of technology;- individuals who are knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields, able to work as members of a team, and are not afraid of competition. In addition, they will operate in close relationship with the international community while being able to protect and preserve artistic, cultural and historical values; be sensitive towards environmental issues while being dynamic, inquisitive and aware of their country’s problems. Atilim University is located on 250 acres of land in Incek one of the most recent and fastest developing residential areas of Ankara, 20 kms from the City Centre and 7 km from the motorway. The campus contains faculty buildings, laboratories, conference halls, basketball and volleyball fields, a gymnasium, tennis courts, a condition hall, a swimming pool, recreation areas where outdoor activities are also carried out, cafeterias and restaurants.

A variety of options for food are offered to students, teaching and administrative staff of the University. The importance of food in life is undeniable. Bearing this situation in mind, Atilim University does its best to offer the best alternatives.
There are three cafeterias and two canteens on the campus. The Café, a cosy and light meeting place, which accommodates up to 400 people at a time renders service between 08:00 and 17:30. The cafeteria offers pide, grills, doner and hot meals prepared in the main kitchen.
The cafeteria located in the Engineering Faculty has a seating capacity of 300 and is open from 08.00 to 17.30 serving pizza, hamburger, baked potato, grills and hot meals.
The cafeteria located in the Management Faculty, which has a seating capacity of 400, was completely renewed in 2008 and started its service with new decoration and menu. A wide range of products consisting of hot meals, ala cart and fast food are served to the students in a comfortable and elegant atmosphere. The second floor of the cafeteria will be put into service at the beginning of 2009 with its new decoration the menu and service concept.
The canteens located in Blocks A and B of Preparatory School serve to meet the needs of our students.
Atilim Garden, located in our campus, is open from 8.00 to 19.00 in summer with its pool and restaurant areas. Special ceremonies and organizations are held upon request. The productions are conducted under supervision of food engineers and products are offered under the control of the food engineers.
Health services are provided at the University Health Centre.
Health services for students and staff are provided at the health centre, where one full time physician and two nurses are employed.
When required the patients are directed to the hospitals located near the University for further analysis and treatment.
Students are required to have their health carnet issued by their social security organizations for use in case of emergency.
In addition to developing students in terms of science and culture, equipping them with vision, contributing values and qualifications creating difference and supporting them in their efforts in line with their targets, following the motto of “it is the high quality life that supplements the high quality of education and training”, the University also aims to provide contributions to their personal development by means of the social atmosphere offered to them.
In line with these objectives, the students’ clubs and societies, which are the most important factors in the establishment of a social and cultural atmosphere in universities, have been supported in all aspects, and about forty student clubs and societies engaged in activities in various fields have been established and 60% of the students have become involved in the clubs and societies and gained experience as member of management and team and thus acquired experience in different areas contributing to their personal development.
The clubs and societies have been provided with the opportunity to organize technical and social trips, panels, conferences, debates, cultural and social activities so as to share the social atmosphere and learn.About the business world during their university years.
