The Master in clinical nutrition is a post-graduation course designed for health professionals (nutritionists, dietitians, nurses, pharmacists and medical doctors) who aim to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and to perform research activities in clinical nutrition. This course has a strong clinical component, supported by sound theoretical concepts essential to perform in clinical nutrition
The course has 3 semesters, the first two are dedicated to theoretical specialization and the third one is dedicated to conduct research leading to the masters degree. Students approved in the first two semesters (specialization course) will be granted a post-graduate diploma in clinical nutrition.
Access requirementsAccess requirements are established by the Masters Scientific Committee and will be defined at least 6 months before the application period.
Access is limited to:
holders of Licenciatura (1st degree) in the areas defined by the scientific committee.
A foreign higher education degree (first cycle) in the areas defined by the Scientific Committee and within the Bologna statement requirements.
A foreign higher education degree, recognised by the Masters Scientific Committee.

As regras sobre as condições de natureza académica e curricular, são da responsabilidade da comissão científica do curso e, serão definidas com um mínimo de seis meses de antecedência relativamente à data de abertura das candidaturas à frequência do ciclo de estudos.
O acesso é limitado a:
o titulares do grau de licenciado ou equivalente legal em licenciaturas de áreas a definir.
o titulares de um grau académico superior estrangeiro conferido na sequência de um 1º ciclo de estudos organizado, naquelas áreas, de acordo com os princípios do Processo de Bolonha por um Estado aderente a este Processo.
o titulares de um grau académico superior estrangeiro, naquelas áreas, que seja reconhecido como satisfazendo os objectivos do grau de licenciado pela Comissão Coordenadora do Curso;
