New specialization Global Procurement.

In particular large companies are tightly integrated to foreign supply markets. Successful global procurement requires interdisciplinary competencies that overlap business administration, technology, psychology, ethics and intercultural skills. The new MBA&E specialization "Global Procurement" - addresses this particular, currently underserved job market segment. With our robust interdisciplinary curriculum and international student body we believe to offer a highly competitive study with attractive career opportunities in an international context.

Automotive management as a unique feature

Germany is a hotspot for the automotive industry. As the industry is constantly changing, there are always new challenges to be mastered. This means there is a high demand for new professionals with knowledge of business administration and engineering expertise. The MBA&E is currently the only Master’s programme in Germany that is taught entirely in English and combines business administration with engineering and offers a specialisation in automotive management. The degree will enable you to create bridges between different disciplines with your expert knowledge.

The MBA&E degree will enable you to work in a variety of different industries and areas. Your skills will be in demand on the labour market because in addition to a knowledge of business administration, you will also have specialist expertise in engineering and technical management.   • Automotive Management: Technical and management positions at automotive OEMs, supplies and service providers.
  • Interdisciplinary Management: Positions in areas where coordination of work by professionals of various disciplines is required, such as large projects.
  • Lean Management: Positions in process optimisation in different areas of production and services.
  • Global Procurement: Positions in procurement for different industries from international markets and suppliers.
Where do MBA&E graduates work

Typically, MBA&E graduates occupy positions in areas like consulting, industrial marketing and sales, operations management and controlling, product and portfolio management, project management and supply chain management.

Programme Structure

At the beginning of your studies you choose your specialisation. The programme content is based on your chosen specialisation. In the third semester you have the option to complete an internship, in which case your Master’s thesis will be postponed until the fourth semester. The study programme includes excursions to multinational companies such as Volkswagen, Airbus, Siemens and Daimler.

          English Language Requirements

          You only need to take one of these language tests:

          • Minimum required score:


            The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The minimum IELTS score requirement refers to which Overall Band Score you received, which is your combined average score. Read more about IELTS.

            The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading).           • Minimum required score:


            The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).
