Money is often the biggest concern for people entering higher education. However, students may be eligible to apply for support towards their tuition fees and living costs from a variety of sources. These include the University of Northampton's scholarships, bursaries and awards as well as a range of support from the Government (such as Student Finance loans, NHS bursaries, disabled students allowance and childcare support). Please note that a student's eligibility to receive funding will depend on them meeting certain criteria which may include course, residency status, household income and previous higher education study. As well as funding from loans and grants, students may be eligible to receive either a discount or an exemption from paying council tax and assistance with paying healthcare costs.
The university's Financial Guidance Team offer students a range of support including information and guidance on funding available to support your study as well as information on short term loans and grants available should the need arise.
StudyPortals Tip: Students can search online for independent or external scholarships that can help fund their studies. Check the scholarships to see whether you are eligible to apply. Many scholarships are either merit-based or needs-based.
