The strongest commitment of the Master of Management in Food & Beverage is to combine a significant foundation and methodology of management with business skills and a deeper knowledge in relation to the Food & Beverage industries as well as food service and hospitality business.
The specialized experience of Faculty, partners and guest-speakers from the Food & Beverage business community, together with the Italian culture and tradition make this objective uniquely achievable.
In today's Food & Beverage industries, it is increasingly important to have a strong managerial approach and a well-developed entrepreneurial sensitivity to fulfill crucial positions, such as Brand & Product Manager, Export/ Import Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Communications Manager, Area Manager and Marketing Manager Product and Business Developer, just to name a few.
The MFB Faculty will exploit the techniques and methods of SDA Bocconi guiding you through a path of personal and professional development. They will communicate the uncompromising culture of Italian excellence and the value associated with this, combined with a business and managerial approach in order to examine in detail the industrys leading companies.

The Master of Management in Food & Beverage benefits from the participation of executives and top managers from more than 50 companies in F&B production and distribution, as well as food service and hospitality business, both from large multinational (such as: Barilla, Campari, Ferrero, Nestlé, McDonald's, Kraft, Lactalis, Mars, Danone, The Coca-Cola Company, Diageo, Parmalat, PepsiCo, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Starwood Hotels, Accor Group, Four Seasons, Autogrill) and top fine companies (Illy caffè, Venchi, Antinori, Marchesi de' Frescobaldi, Eataly, Grom, etc).

Contents

The program blends culture and methodology with lessons focused on a specific knowledge base and skill sets fundamental for the industries of Food & Beverage. Lessons from top academia, experts and professionals are at the core along with the privileged access to the true Italian culture and traditions.
The program of the Master of Management in Food & Beverage is composed of core modules and specialized modules.

Pre-courses (8th - 22nd January 2013)
These courses are recommended for those who do not have a strong academic foundation in economics and management. They are designed to allow all participants to begin the program at the required common level of understanding of basic methods & concepts that will be applied.
You can choose to take these courses via our Online Tutorial system, at your own pace to be completed prior to commencement of the Master, or in the Classroom, with our faculty at the SDA Bocconi Campus in Milan.

Requirements

Candidates are carefully selected on the basis of an extensive review of

  • Formal pre-requisites:
    • Degree in any discipline
    • At least 1 year of real work experience
    • TOEFL or IELTS test results
    • GMAT is not mandatory, but it is considered a distinctive characteristic

Tuition Waivers

SDA Bocconi School of Management, in collaboration with Ab-InBev, is making available six MERIT BASED half tuition waivers ( 13,500) one for each Area - to 2013 MFB candidates coming from the following Areas.

Area 1 - Europe
Area 2 - North America
Area 3 - South America
Area 4 - China, Hong Kong
Area 5 - Asia
Area 6 - Africa

Application to tuition waivers and Requirements
Being merit based tuition waivers the candidates can apply by filling in the format to be sent it to the MFB office by 18th July 2012.

The tuition waivers will be granted after an evaluation process by a Faculty Committee and if the applicants fulfil all requirements requested.

Financing

The School assists candidates with their funds search by providing the documentation required for financial support applications.

In particular, Bocconi provides opportunities for low-interest loans available to candidates in accordance to agreements with various partner banks.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
