Description

You gain practical experience and the theoretical principles of various aspects of computer networks and communications. This includes network management, computer communication, systems administration, risk assessment and security and an introduction to programming. You apply research and development knowledge and skills in your project module.

What you study
This programme develops your knowledge of network and communication systems. It produces graduates who can make reasoned, critical decisions for selecting or implementing appropriate network and communications solutions.

You have sufficient technical and interpersonal skills to make a contribution to projects involving computer networks and data communications. The course encourages enterprise and progression towards further research and enables you to acquire a range of practical, professional and transferable skills.

Requirements

Applicants are normally expected to have one of the following:

* BSc (Hons) degree, first or second class, in any technical subject, although this is not suitable for those with extensive networking or programming experience, or
* equivalent qualifications, for example applicants with appropriate professional experience.

In addition, international students will require IELTS 6.0 or equivalent.

English Language Requirements

CAE score: 60(Grade A)
