If you see yourself in this role, our Master’s in Construction Management and Engineering is the right programme for you. It is a logical next step if you have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering Management, Advanced Technology or Mechanical Engineering.

As a CME graduate, you will find career opportunities across the full spectrum of the building and construction industry, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Future employers may include building and construction companies, organizations such as insurers with their own project development departments, engineering and design firms, consultancy firms, government agencies, NGOs and institutes of research and education.

Job titles range from company or division manager, construction supervisor or construction manager, to project manager, technical consultant, project engineer or process manager. Given the wide range of knowledge and skills you will gain in this Master’s programme and in view of the current situation in the construction industry, you will find many promising opportunities for a successful career.

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.     The CAE test – or the Cambridge Advanced English – is an exam for applicants who wish to get a Certificate in Advanced English. To receive the Advanced certificate, test-takers must score between 142 and 210 on the Cambridge English: Advanced test. Read more about CAE.

Academic Requirements

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science (or equivalent) of a high quality and level in Engineering. The main subject of the BSc study should match the envisaged UT MSc-programme.
  • Knowledge of the following topics: Civil Engineering, Architecture/building design, and project management
  • Copy of diploma
  • Transcript of records (Bachelor of Science and knowledge on topics)
  • CGPA of at least 75% of the maximum scale (or your country's equivalent) and/or top 10% of class
