Description
The MA (3 semesters) in Russian Studies attests of oral and written language competence and of advanced training along two lines: Literature (modern and contemporary text analysis, dissertation, study of thematic fields, literary theory); History (in-depth study of modern and contemporary historical and historiographical issues). A thesis must be written in one of these domains.

Requirements
1. candidates for the Faculty must meet the University's general enrollment conditions
2. they must also hold a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities, referred to below as BA, or a degree considered equivalent by the Dean of the Faculty
3. candidates who hold a diploma or degree equivalent to at least 180 credits from another Faculty of arts or university may be admitted to the Faculty for an MA programme; they may request that their additional credits be treated as equivalents
4. candidates for a Master of Arts/MA in disciplines requiring specific expertise for a BA may be required to do supplementary studies before being admitted.
