The Master in Sociology aims to train students to analyze specific issues pertaining to contemporary societies. For instance, to understand societies´ structures and transformations, to identify their problems and to evaluate the related collective social responses or social politics. The Master´s program is based on methodological and theoretical courses enabling the students to develop the ability to construct a research design and to carry out a research from beginning to end. Its pedagogic strategy is based on a learning-by-doing approach through research workshops. The program also provides inter- and transdisciplinary skills covering the main domains of study of society.
Contents: introduction to research by means of workshops involving conceptual development, investigative methods applied in teamwork, and individual work, all on a specific topic. This active strategy is supplemented by more traditional university courses and seminars.

Bachelor or Master in Economics and/or Social Sciences, or degree considered equivalent; Bachelor or Master in another field and successful completion of a reorientation course worth between 30 and 60 credits.
