Pathway 2 is a theory and practice programme where you improve your skills, understanding and experience in one of the following areas: documentary; image making; journalism; writing.
Two core courses will draw on the history, sociology and anthropology of the media (offering contextualised analyses of media technologies such as the internet, mobile phone, television, photography, and film), and will develop themes of technology, power, politics and subjectivity. Pathway 1 students also take four courses from options provided by the Departments of Media and Communications, Anthropology, English and Comparative Literature, and Sociology, and the Centre for Cultural Studies. Pathway 2 students take two option courses plus the Digital Media Practice unit.
