Description

This programme is run by the Centre for Automotive Management (CAM) within the PMDC, and is suitable for experienced senior managers from all backgrounds and disciplines in franchised automotive and motorcycle dealerships, independent garages, car supermarkets and related sectors such as finance, insurance and automotive manufacturing. The programme is also suitable for middle managers with suitable experience or qualifications who are aspiring to a senior role in the business, and graduates with work experience from different sectors who are moving into automotive retail and associated sectors.

Assessment
Each module is assessed by a written assignment. Work based assignments include an element of primary research focusing on current industry issues. The MSc Research Project is assessed by a dissertation of 20,000 words.

Requirements

This programme is open to employees of all marques. No existing qualifications are required for senior managers with a minimum of 3 years experience in the role, or aspiring senior managers with a minimum of 5 years management experience. Applications are also accepted from graduates with some work experience who have moved into the automotive industry.

All applicants must have an acceptable qualification in English language before they can be admitted to any postgraduate programme. Below are the main English language qualifications acceptable for entry to the University (these are the minimum and some departments may require higher levels):

* GCSE English Language Grade C or above
* IELTS band 6.5 or above with not less than 6.0 in each sub test
* TOEFL (including the Tests in Written and Spoken Practice) minimum score of 600 (paper-based test) or 100 (Internet-based test) with specific requirements for sub tests
