About

A Logistics and Supply Chain manager is not a master of just one specific area in the supply chain; he or she is a master of all areas including sourcing, planning, transportation, distribution, warehousing, inventory management, customer service and strategic leadership. The Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences one-year intensive programme is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills required to transform yourself into a well-rounded Logistics and Supply Chain Manager. 

You will participate in an intensive programme of combined classroom learning, company projects and self-led projects. In this environment you will both broader and deepen your theoretical knowledge about Logistics & Supply Chain Management while simultaneously developing your project management skills and cultivating your personal leadership capabilities. 

At the end of the Logistics Management programme at Rotterdam Business School you will be an expert in the functional areas of Logistics and Supply Chain Management and will be equipped with the skills necessary to manage a logistics organisation.

After your graduation

With your degree, you will receive a supplement, a DS-label. With this English document, you can show the value of your degree abroad when applying for other study programmes or when applying for a job.

Profession

Graduates of the Master in Logistics Management perform successfully in such fields as:

  • controlling production planning and scheduling processes
  • making effective use of enterprise resources planning (ERP) systems while anticipating their impact on the manufacturing process and inventories
  • planning and forecasting while translating internal and external customer demands
  • managing and evaluating the supply chain and making effective use of relevant tools, principles and concepts and web opportunities such as e-business.
Logistics Manager

As a logistics manager you plan, implement, and control the efficient, effective, forward, and reverse flow and storage of goods, services, and related information between the point of origin and the point of consumption in order to meet customer's requirements.

Academic Requirements

Students with a Bachelor degree from an accredited university in the Benelux

  • A business related Bachelor Degree.
  • Curriculum Vitae, motivation letter and a reference letter.
  • Applicant with a non-business related bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years related work experience, with an additional mandatory interview can qualify for direct entry into one of the Masters Programmes.

Students with a foreign diploma

  • A business related Bachelor Degree.

Holland scholarship

The Holland scholarship is meant for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who want to do their bachelors or masters in the Netherlands. The EEA consists of the EU countries and Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway.

Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP)

The Netherlands Fellowship Programmes (NFP) promote capacity building within organisations in 51 countries by providing fellowships for training and education for professionals. The NFP is initiated and fully funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS)

The Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS) is a collection of scholarships offered by Dutch institutions and companies. Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences is participating in this programme. Students from Mexico and Indonesia who want to study a master programme at our university of applied sciences can apply for this scholarship.
