University of Gothenburg offers a joint programme in Crafts, Textile Art at advanced level for you who wish to develop your artistry within ceramic art, jewellery art and design or textile art. Here you get the opportunity to deepen your knowledge within your artistic field and at the same time be part of the current discussions regarding mutual and specific questions within the field of craft, art and society.
Collaboration with other students as well as with external partners will contribute to sharpening your awareness about your own work and the role you choose, in an artistic as well as in a social and ethical perspective. Individual studio work will be combined with individual and group-run throughs, oral and written presentations, theoretical discussions and seminars to provide students with Tools for analyzing their work.
The programme will be concluded with an examination Project.
The artistic practice is central to the education. Each student will formulate and carry through individual artistic Projects under the supervision of professors, lecturers and technicians.
