ICT Innovation is a master’s programme offered by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology which combines technical competences with skills in innovation and entrepreneurship. The programme has a strong focus on integrating education, research and business modules in its curriculum, and with active industry involvement.

About

ICT Innovation at KTH Royal Institute of Technology

There are six tracks offered through the programme.

  • Autonomous Systems KTH (AUSY)
  • Data Science KTH (DASE)
  • Digital Media Technology (DMT)
  • Embedded Systems (ES)
  • Human Computer Interaction and Design (HCID)
  • Internet Technology and Architecture (ITA)

A key component in all specialisations of ICT Innovation is the integrated combination of a master’s degree project (30 ECTS), an “internship” (which should be included in the degree project credits) and an I&E project (6 ECTS). The industry based degree project (typically integrated with the "internship") is together with the I&E minor well integrated with the technical majors.

The programme covers two years of study at KTH in Stockholm. However, students who would like to attend the second year of the programme abroad can do so under the EIT Digital scheme to which this programme is attached. This creates flexibility for students who would like to continue their second year on the programme by either staying at KTH or decides to do the second year abroad at one of the other EIT Digital university members.

Career

A wide range of first-class businesses are partnered with EIT Digital to prepare students for their future careers. You will be working closely with business partners throughout the whole programme. You will also get the chance to prepare your master’s thesis with our partners on real-life projects.

In addition to improving students’ cultural and language skills, this experience will give students expertise in their chosen technological field, as well as provide them with excellent qualifications for managerial posts in global markets.
