This research master teaches you how social scientific research creates knowledge, and how you may design and carry out your own empirical research. The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading). Grade average: You have an average grade in your previous studies of at least 7.5 according to the Dutch grading system
Knowledge minimum: You have basic knowledge of social scientific research methods
Language test: To be admitted, you must satisfy the following requirements: * TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum overall score of 100 in the internet based test, 250 in the computer-based test or 600 in the paper test. * IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum score of 7.0 () * CAE (Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English): grade B * CPE (Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English): grade A or B If you have not yet taken any English test, we recommend that you take the IELTS or TOEFL.
