Enlightening and interdisciplinary, the Business Design program at Domus Academy focuses on how to apply design methodology, sensitivity, and culture to any business. Youll study design-driven company management as you learn to draft plans for business development, branding, marketing, and communicationfor product lines, startups, and established businesses.
With a multidisciplinary program combining creativity, management skills and an entrepreneurial spirit, the goal of this program is to prepare and train for management positions at modern design companies.

There is no better way for you to gain experience in your field than actually working in it. The internship is a chance for you to work onsite for a company or design studio in your field of interestwhile applying all the strategies you learned in the classroom and in workshops. Alternatively, you can complete an intensive project in collaboration with a company on the Domus Academy campus.
Either way, youll get an inside perspective on how your industry really works, and you can make important connections that will further your career.The internship lasts two months and comes at the end of your year of studies. 100% of our students participate in the internship, including non-EU students, who may extend their visas for up to one year to complete this portion of their studies.
Graduates of the Master in Business Design program may go on to work in design-driven companies, advertising agencies, or in services companies in roles such as business development manager, brand manager, marketing manager, product manager, or design director.

The final element of the program is the portfolio review. You will present your portfolio of work completed during the year in front of an exam board for evaluation.
The program is designed for candidates who have a first-level degree in economics, humanities, design, or related subjects, and who are interested in acquiring organizational and management skills via a multidisciplinary approach.

The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The FCE, or First Certificate in English, a certificate given for students who take the Cambridge English: First exam. To receive the certificate, test-takers must score between 122 and 190 on the Cambridge English: First test. Read more about FCE.

The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading). The course leader and the Admissions Committee evaluate each application to determine whether the applicant’s degree and technical skills correspond to Domus Academy requirements. They identify credit deficits and/or credits that could be transferred.
Master’s programs are open to students with a degree or diploma in an unrelated field if the applicant has completed or will complete additional research in the subject area.
Participants not holding a first-level bachelor’s degree or academic diploma will not earn the educational credits, but they will receive a Domus Academy Master’s Diploma (not recognized by MIUR, the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research) upon successfully completing the program.
