The Master's Programme in Biomedical Sciences at University of Bergen combines theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory work and provides the students with an in-depth understanding of biomedical issues.
The theoretical subjects provide advanced knowledge about methods that are used in biomedical research and about cellular biology mechanisms. In the practical subjects, students lean to plan and implement research projects in an internationally active research community. Based on the practical work, the students learn to plan experiments, read and critically evaluate scientific literature, as well both oral and written scientific dissemination.
The students are also trained to discuss the many ethical issues relating to modern medical research.
