Contents
The Master in Management programme consists of four semesters with a total of 120 ECTS credits. These semesters can be completed at our five European campuses (Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, Torino) or at one of our 70 partner universities both within Europe and beyond.
The first year is focused on advanced learning within the different fields of management through core modules and a selection of electives (15-hour or 30-hour formats). Through these electives the students can explore one or two specific areas of interest in more detail.
The second year can be used to concentrate on one of several possible specialisations, and is also used for the writing of a Master thesis on a topic of the student’s choice. Further to this, students can choose from a rich catalogue of electives (15-hour or 30-hour formats) to further customise their learning experience and plan their professional career paths. In addition, language courses are part of the Master in Management programme.
Beside the academic courses two mandatory internships are part of the Master in Management programme. Students can do these internships either in their countries of study or in a third country.
Alongside the core courses, electives and specialisations, all students will participate in four seminars (one per semester). These are key elements in the Master in Management programme, with all current students coming together to benefit from the internationality of the courses and the participants.
During the first seminar, ‘Start@Europe’ (video of the 2012 edition below), more than 700 students gather at the European Parliament in Strasbourg to immerse themselves in the complexity of European decision-making.
The second seminar consists of a three-day simulation game wherein students learn to combine the different business areas and experience the links between them.
The third seminar prepares students for the writing of their Master thesis.
Finally, the closing seminar, ‘Business in Europe’, consists of a series of plenary sessions and discussions with notable guest speakers from a variety of companies and international institutions.
Pre-Master Year
The Pre-Master Year is designed for students having completed at least two years of university-level education at undergraduate programmes worldwide as well as for students coming from the well-known French Classes Préparatoires.
The Pre-Master Year, totalling 60 ECTS points, is devoted to gaining insight into the fundamentals of management, including introductory and advanced concepts to foster the understanding of the world of business.
There are also courses in social sciences, law, economics and foreign languages. The Pre-Master Year combines requisite courses, interdisciplinary projects and an internship. Students can spend the Pre-Master Year in Paris, studying in French or in Torino, studying in Italian.
Successful Pre-Master students automatically join the Master in Management programme without having to go through any further admission procedures.

Overview
The Master in Management programme is nationally recognized in each of ESCP Europe’s home countries. Students can obtain up to three different degrees:

UK European MSc in Management
German Master of Science
Spanish Master Dirección de Empresas
Italian Laurea Magistrale
All students receive the French degree recognised by the French Ministry. Specific conditions apply in order to obtain further national degrees upon graduation.
Requirements
Candidates must
- hold a Bachelor degree (equivalent or higher) after having completed at least three years of university studies (180 ECTS).
- submit an application in the same year they obtain their Bachelor degree.
- not to be older than 30 during the application year (recommendation)
Funding
Scholarships
Students can obtain two types of scholarships: the aid granted through the school and the scholarships granted independently from the school.
- ESCP Europe scholarships finance 25% or 50% of tuition fees (reserved only for European Union citizens) based on social criteria. In 2011-2012, 310 students received 1,400,000 euros for scholarships.
- "Bourses d’enseignement supérieur" (CROUS) based on social criteria (mainly for French students)
- In some countries, you may obtain financial aid from your home country for your studies at ESCP Europe. Please obtain information in your own country, from government bodies and from foundations
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
