Such visibility of the phenomenon has been accompanied by a growth in demand of professionals and, as a natural consequence, the implementation of training programs for translators and interpreters in the universities. But those programmes need to be supplemented with postgraduate degrees that train university graduates (in Translation and Interpreting or related subjects) for research. Therefore, the main objective of this master’s degree is to train researchers in translation studies who are aware of the last theoretical approaches, who know how to apply the information resources and new technologies to research in translation studies and who know the fields of specialisation.
