Description: The biomedical translation market is steadily growing. Publishing houses, pharmaceutical laboratories, international organisations, hospitals and other centres within the health sector have to fulfil a wide range of quality interlinguistic and intercultural communication needs. This Master attempts to fill a gap in specialised training, to provide a solution to a particular sector of the translation market and to open a career path for students. The main working language pair of the course is English and Spanish, although the contents and the methodology used can be extrapolated to other language combinations.
Number of credits: 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System)
Duration: 1 academic years
Dates: October 2012 - June 2013
Directed to: Graduates in Translation and Interpreting.
Graduates in Medicine, Nursery, Biology or related studies. Graduates in Philology. Professionals with experience as translators in the medical and health field.
Cost: In accordance with official fees yet to be announced. 2011 cost: 31,41 EUR/credit.
