The medical and health translation market is steadily growing and today represents a large proportion of all scientific and technical translation. Publishing houses, pharmaceutical laboratories, international organisations, hospitals and other centres from the health sector have to fulfil a wide range of quality interlinguistic and intercultural communication needs.
In the eleven years that this programme has been taught, it has filled a niche in specialised training, provided a solution for a particular sector of the translation market and opened a career path for students. Thanks to the work carried out since it was established, the programme has a highly consolidated teaching team, methodology, academic programme and online teaching-learning pedagogy and technology.
