          English Language Requirements

          You only need to take one of these language tests:

            The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00.             The CAE test – or the Cambridge Advanced English – is an exam for applicants who wish to get a Certificate in Advanced English. To receive the Advanced certificate, test-takers must score between 142 and 210 on the Cambridge English: Advanced test. Read more about CAE.

            The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

          Academic Requirements

          Besides TOEFL, IELTS and CAE, also Cambridge Proficiency in English (CPE - at least Grade C) is accepted as a proof of English Proficiency.

          You have an expansive and deep knowledge of social sciences research methods and statistics: 

          • You are able to set up, conduct, statistically analyse and report on a scientific research project;
          • You have insight and knowledge of the development of education and commercial training programmes based on principles of teaching theory and design models;
          • You are able to guide innovations and change processes in organisations;
          • You are able to develop theoretically sound assessments;
          • You have an academic knowledge of educational psychology.
          Requested previous education

          • you'll need a foreign university Bachelor’s degree in Education Studies that is comparable in level, orientation and scale to a Dutch degree. 

          You are able to express yourself in proficient English, both orally and in written text, as evidenced by your motivation letter and/or writing sample, and the interview that is part of the selection procedure.
