The M.A. in TESOL program at LCC International University is geared toward a wide audience. It is designed for those who are willing to deepen their knowledge of applied linguistics as well as those who want a thorough knowledge of foreign language teaching methods and their practical application in international contexts. In particular, the program is designed for:
* High school teachers willing to enrich their professional and methodological competence;
* Individuals who have received their Bachelor´s degree and want to pursue a career in English language teaching in an increasingly multilingual world;
* Individuals who are interested in language program administration and management;
* Individuals who are interested in research in the field of applied linguistics.
The LCC program has distinctive organizational and academic features:
* A small group (cohort) model, guaranteeing an interactive learning environment;
* A combination of online and face-to-face interaction with professors and students;
* Three summer residency periods on campus in Klaipeda;
* A natural setting for practicum work during the Summer Language Institute at LCC;
* An individual theoretical and practical portfolio combining personal reflection and research from each course;
* Instruction from native or native-like English language-speaking professors.
This program utilizes a mixed model of distance learning, where online studies are combined with intensive summer sessions on campus in Klaipeda, Lithuania. A significant part of studying is carried out online, which allows LCC to employ professors of the highest qualifications from around the world. However, every semester starts or finishes with an intensive on-campus session.

Entrance requirements:
The student must have no less than a Bachelors degree. Academic qualifications should include:
* a) A Bachelors degree in English language studies;
* b) Bachelors or Masters degree in other fields having no less than 24 credits (ECTS) of prerequisites in language subjects;
Prerequisites may be acquired by attending on-campus courses at LCC International University in Klaipeda. The minimum average GPA (Grade Point Average) of incoming students is 7/10 in a previous degree (on the Lithuanian scale).
The applicant must achieve a satisfactory score in the iBT TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language in Advanced System), unless his/her native language is English or he/she has graduated from a university where English is the language of instruction. Students, who have taken any of the tests mentioned above, must submit an official transcript of the test scores with their application materials.
