Description

The Masters program of International Trade and Financeis designed to deliver what the manufacturing,trade and financial enterprises need from their executive mangement candidates. The interdisciplinary nature of the program prepares students as future professionals who can function effectively in a dynamic and complex environment of the global marketplace.

The academic program gives the students a solid background in disciplines of business economics, international economics, international marketing research, international financial management, international financial institutions , internationaltrade, international trade law, international energy management, international environment and quality systems.

Key Learning Outcomes

Upon the successful completion of this programme, the student will be able

  • To identify international business operations from a system perspective with knowledge of management, international marketing, international finance and economics.
  • To demonstrate the knowledge of theories of international business and recent changes in global finance, including international commercial policy, foreign exchange markets, and currency derivative markets.
  • To describe and outline the instruments, practices, and institutions that govern the global economy today within the content, concepts such as the management of foreign exchange risk, international financial markets, exchange and interest rates, short-term and long-term debt instruments and equity markets.
  • To use the knowledge of human resource management on an international scale and key issues for multinational corporations when managing human resources across diverse national boundaries.
  • To analyse, identify and plan data including capital budgeting, cost of funds and capital structure and valuation.
  • To design and conduct the application of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing and regression analysis in financial and marketing decision making.
  • To use appropriate operations techniques in decision making, research concepts and methods as applied to business problems and operations.
  • To set targets, motivate and monitor performance in order to continuously improve the people and units being managed selecting appropriate leadership style for situations.
  • To use communication skills and information technology tools in order to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • To perform effectively in team environment, and recognise and utilise other peoples contributions in group processes.

Graduation Requirements

Second Cycle, Masters Degree (MA) in International Trade and Finance is awarded to students who have scored a Cumulative Grade point Average (CGPA) of not less than 2.70 / 4.00 and have completed all the courses (120 ECTS) with at least a letter grade of C+ or S in the program. A student who has satisfied these condition completes his/her education and provides the necessary conditions for graduation.

For National Students

  • First cycle (BA/BSc) degree in relevant fields.
  • ALES (Entrance Exam for Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education) with minimum score of 55 (or equivalent).
  • Certificate of Yasar University Foreign Language Achievement Test (FLAT) or Paper Based TOEFL (PBT) score of 550, or Computer Based TOEFL (CBT) score of 213 or Internet Based TOEFL (IBT) score of 79, or equivalent. (Applicants, who have not achieved the minimum required score from a recognized English Proficiency Examination, must enroll for a one-year intensive English Language Preparatory Programme at Yasar University English Preparatory School.).
  • Placement through a written or oral exam / interview of the institute.

For International Students

General required documents are:

Funding

Scholarships

International Student Scholarship:

Yasar University offers an annual scholarship of 1500 USD to all full-time international undergraduate students, who been accepted and registered for classes at the university. Including the scholarship, the tuition fee becomes 7500USD. The continuation of this scholarship in each following academic year is dependent on the student achieving a minimum GPA score of 2.50/4. The scholarship applies only to annual tuition fees and is renewable as long as the student maintains academic success.

Academic Achievement Scholarship:

Students enroled at Yasar University are eligible for scholarships based on their academic performance. If a students grade point average at Yasar University is between 3.25 and 3.49 (out of 4.00), that student will receive a 50% academic scholarship the following academic year. If a students grade point average is between 3.50 and 4.00, that student will receive a 100% academic scholarship the following academic year. The Academic Achievement Scholarship continues as long as the students grades are maintained.

You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.

Most European Universities recognise the IELTS test.
