About

The objective of this Master’s Degree from Yasar University is to provide students with the latest contemporary knowledge in the field of Private Law, as well as to train students in the discipline as it affects society, both as an indispensable instrument and regulator at a national and international level. In addition to teaching research and study methods, students are trained in the relevant skills to enable them to analyse, judge, interpret, and unravel private law issues. In this way students can become specialists in their own profession.

The programme aims to provide information on the principles, latest developments and innovations in the major disciplines and sub-disciplines; this is particularly in relation to National and International Mercantile Law, and the other related fields of Economic Law, Market Economy Law, Competition Law, Intellectual and Industrial Property Law, International Land-Air-Sea Transport Law, Consumer Protection Law, Family Law, National and Current Law of Liabilities and Modern Contract Types, as it applies to a national and international level. This allows legal practitioners to implement their knowledge in the national and international legal arena and solve problems in a manner consistent with rationality and legality.

The Private Law programme provides students with a wide perspective on issues affecting modern-day law, and is carried out under the guidance of expert academics. Students who have enrolled on the Master’s Degree Programme with thesis are expected to take at least seven courses and a seminar lecture, as well as prepare a dissertation.
