Missions HEC Entrepreneurs (Junior Consulting Projects):

A scheme set up 10 years ago thanks to a partnership with Groupe HEC PARIS, JCPs (‘Missions') that applies a teaching approach based on a combination of academic input and immersion in companies. The Corporate Relations Service organises a pool of companies where you will be immersed in teams of 3 to 4 students as ‘Junior Consultants', in order to analyse their issues and recommend strategic axes for development.

Duration

The MSc in International Logistics & Crisis Management includes:

  • 9 months in Le Havre with a combination of lectures, talks by professionals and field projects,
  • and a 4 to 6-month work placement/internship from June to December.
  • Totalling : 460 hours of Seminars.

Course Content

4 modules are scheduled during the first semester, from September to December:
Basics of Operations Management
  • Intermodal Transport
  • Logistics Performance
  • Techniques & Methods
3 modules are scheduled during the second semester, from January to April :
  • Supply Chain Management (Demand Management, Supply Management, Integrating the Supply Chain)
  • Value Management (Value Chain Management, Value as a strategic concept, Value Chain in Service Organisations)
  • Basic skills (Information Technologies, Green Supply Chain, Business Process Re-engineering)
Professionalisation
  • One 5-week Junior Consulting Project: Logistics Auditing in a company. JCPs are found and validated by the Programme staff (Pédagogie HEC Entrepreneurs);
  • One 2-week Challenge contest: Flow Optimisation;
  • One 5-week minimum work placement/internship. stage en entreprise de 5 mois minimum.

Requirements for Supply Chain Management

  • Only holders of 4 to 5-year degrees can access the programme (Bac+4 or 5 )
  • Exceptionally, and for a maximum of 10 % of the total cohort, students who hold the qualifications below may apply with a 3-year degrees (Bac+3) together with:
  1. Documented professional experience and extensive management experience
  2. The defense of a professional project before a panel.
When applying for MScs, a level of proficiency in English must be certified by a score of:
  • TOEIC: 790
  • TOEFL
  • IELTS
  • Or justification of a full-time year of studies taken 100% in English.
