Research Groups

Finance Research Group:The Finance Research Group is a round-table open academic discussion among members of staff with multiple research interests in finance and financial economics. It's a platform for fresh and innovative ideas, for new research venues and productive collaboration. The group have a solid knowledge of quantitative methods that are used to estimate, forecast and test theories of finance and financial economics, collaborating with both UK-based and overseas researchers in developing joint research projects.Economics Research Group:The Economics Research Group undertakes research into a rich variety of topics including microeconomic level analysis of individual or household decision making and patterns of consumption, specific industry and market studies, global macroeconomic and monetary interactions.Gate-To-Plate Research Group:The Gate-To-Plate Research Group brings together the skills and expertise of a multidisciplinary group of researchers from the Business School of the University of Portsmouth. This ranges from accounting, agricultural and environmental economics to executive information systems (EIS) and Business Intelligence.

    The CAE test – or the Cambridge Advanced English – is an exam for applicants who wish to get a Certificate in Advanced English. To receive the Advanced certificate, test-takers must score between 142 and 210 on the Cambridge English: Advanced test. Read more about CAE.

Academic Requirements

  • A second-class honours degree in a relevant subject, or master's in a relevant subject. Equivalent professional experience and/or qualifications will be considered
