Designed in conjunction with the financial services industry, the programme is accredited by the Chartered Banker Institute and the Institute of Operational Risk (IOR). On completion you will be a Chartered Banker with a strong specialism in the area of bank operations and finance and be well positioned to pursue a career in the financial services industry.
Course Overview
The programme is part of the Financial Services suite of programmes at Glasgow Caledonian University, which is known as a Centre of Excellence in financial services as designated by the CISI.
Throughout the programme, you will develop the skills to manage effectively across an array of main bank operations, with a particular focus on financial regulation, measurement and management of risk as well as ethical decision making all of which are of key importance to financial services companies.
You will advance your expertise in risk management and operations in banking, focusing on analysing financial services operations and risks in an international context and utilising analytical and qualitative techniques in a financial services setting.

Graduates will be well equipped to pursue opportunities within the UK and internationally in sectors relating to more quantitative focused roles which include credit, market, interest rate and operational risk management as well as opportunities with major financial consultancy companies.
