As the mark of a rising business star, the MBA is a highly respected and recognised qualification. And, with its strong international perspectives, our MBA Global brings a whole new dimension to your career prospects. It proves that you have met a high international standard in strategic leadership and management.
Our focus on work-based learning equips you to make an immediate impact - whether you are embarking on a new role or advancing your career within your own organisation. You’ll have the strategic awareness, confidence and innovative mindset to achieve success in high-level roles worldwide.
Gaining a postgraduate degree like the MBA Global can also significantly boost your earning potential. Latest government statistics* show that postgraduates earn on average £6,000 more per year than graduates.
Undertaking this MBA does not merely involve achieving University credits. The experience delivers significant added value too. We have embedded two support modules – Transforming Personal Skills and Career Coaching and Mentoring - into the programme. These equip you not only with the skills you need to complete your Masters but also with vital business skills that will positively impact on your future career.
Chartered Manager is a competence-based award that reviews your key achievements and the impact this has had on your organisation. It focuses on the practical application of your skills and expertise in leading people and managing change.
It's a streamlined and credible process with support every step of the way, and designed to fit with your work schedule:
The Derby MBA (CMI accredited) helps you to achieve Chartered Manager status. You will be required to formally apply to CMI for Chartered Manager status. This includes an assessment questionnaire, submission of an independent business impact study (as you'll complete in the final stage of your MBA) and an assessment interview

The award recognises studying abroad as a positively life changing experience for many students as well as promoting intercultural understanding and tolerance. Successful candidates will receive up to £10,000 to be applied toward the cost of tuition fees.
We have a number of merit based partial scholarships of £1,000 available for international students starting their course in September or January.
These scholarships are available to apply for once you have applied to the University. You must be a full time international (outside the EU) taught student in the first year of your study at the University of Derby.
If you are successful, £1,000 will be deducted from your tuition fees. There are also a number of individual scholarships available for particular courses which become available throughout the year.
Only students who have received an offer from the University will be eligible to apply for a scholarship.
