English Requirements
Studying at Warwick requires a high level of competence in English. If you are a non-native English speaker you must show English test results equivalent to IELTS 6.5 with broadly consistent scores in the elements of the test. We accept IELTS, Pearson Test in English (Academic) and TOEFL (iBT).
We do not recognise any other English testing system and we do not routinely carry out English proficiency interviews as a substitute for English test results.
If you do not quite meet these standards, but have an overall IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent), we may be able to offer you a place conditional on you attending a 5 or 10 week pre-sessional English course. Students intending to take the pre-sessional course prior an MSc should still apply to WMG.
If you have undertaken three or more years of academic study in higher education in a predominantly English-speaking country, you may be considered for exemption from these English requirements at our discretion.
We do not normally require English test results from students from Nigeria.
