5-year MD program provided by the Division of Dentistry at Dentistry at the Medical University of Lodz is designed for high school/secondary school graduates. It is a full time study program based on requirements which are obligatory for the Polish medical higher education institutions and is adequate to EU standards.
The main goal of the dental studies is to educate well-qualified dental practitioners able to enter the profession of a Doctor of Dental Medicine (lat. Doctor Medicinae Dentium pol. Lekarz dentysta) with excellent clinical skills, able to conduct scientific research, provide professional dental health care based on human approach, and teach dental students.
Medical University of Lodz is the largest state-owned medical university in Poland. It has 60 years of academic tradition, including 10 years of experience in conducting medical and dental studies in English for international students. In 2012 a brand new Clinical and Teaching Center was opened, with new-generation dental and phantom units, thus making MUL Dentistry one of the best-equipped in Europe.
The program is taught in the English language, with a complex medical-dental curriculum.
Preclinical courses, such as anatomy, medical chemistry, biology, biophysics, physiology, histology and cell biology, and others, are realized mostly during the two first years of studies.
Paraclinical courses, such as pathomorphology, pharmacology, pathophysiology, microbiology, medical psychology, are realized starting from the second year of studies.
Clinical courses (conservative dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, prosthetics, periodontology, oral and maxillofacial surgery, implantology) are realized during the senior four years of dental program.
The curriculum also consists of humanistic and social subjects, such as bioethics, sociology, history of philosophy and medicine. Polish language classes take up two years of studies. Physical education implements overall education.

CAE, CPE, TOEFL PBT (min. 500 points), IELTS (min. 5.5 points) if the secondary education was not conducted in English
Lack of above certificates does not exclude candidates from qualification process as long as language competencies can be proved by other cetificates and language exam conducted in the form of interview.

The Medical University of Lodz is fully accredited in Poland and in the European Union. Successful completion of the 5-year DMD program allows for an automatic recognition of a diploma in all member states of the European Union.
You are normally required to take an English Proficiency Test if you come from a non-English speaking country.
