Description
Students of this subject area prepare for work in companies of all legal forms of enterprise. Our graduates are qualified to work at any management level in both production and non-production sectors where they can hold line and staff leading offices, positions as company economists and financial management specialists, or they can participate in the analysis and design of enterprise activities, information technology and secure marketing and trade activities. They can also work in counselling organizations, interest groups and associations, financial and other bodies of public administration, financial institutions and insurance companies.

The standard length of study in Master's programmes is two years. The study is completed with the final state examination which can be taken after the student has met all the requirements of the study programme.p>
Requirements of the study programme Economics and Management include:
* Completing all the courses set in the recommended study plan
* Undergoing an internship in total length of 4 weeks
* Master's dissertation
Courses in English are sometimes taught in blocks. The amount of lessons stays the same as in the individual courses.
Receiving a Master's degree and the right to use the title (abbreviated Ing.) is conditioned by meeting all the aforementioned requirements and by passing the final state examination.
Any student who wants to take the state examination must apply for it before the deadline set by the Dean. Taking the state exam is conditioned by meeting all the requirements of the Master's study programme. The applicant's dissertation must also be recommended for viva voce by the supervisor or the examiner before he is allowed to take the examination
Requirements
Entrance exams to all programmes are written and are completed on computers.
The exam subjects are mathematics and a foreign language chosen by the candidate
(English, German, Russian, Spanish, and French).
