The Master in Sciences and Practices of Education offers a very wide range of courses ranging from basic disciplines (phi-losophy, history, sociology, economics, psychology, social psychology, anthropo-logy, general education) to more specific subjects (management of training systems, evaluation of learning processes, family education, gender and education, career paths, adult training, ICT and education, etc).The degree course includes three parts: courses attached to the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (SSP), courses atta-ched to the HEP-VD, and a Masterís dis-sertation.The dissertation is accompanied by methods workshops which students must attend. These workshops, designed to be a reflective meeting place between the SSP and the HEP-VD, propose the elaboration of an interdisciplinary methodology speci-fic to the sciences of education
The evaluation of knowledge takes diverse forms, for example seminar or research work, continuous assessment, oral or written examination. Each course is validated either by a pass certificate (seminars, research seminar and place-ments), or by a mark (course work and Masterís dissertation). There are three exam sessions per year (winter, summer, autumn). Conditions for passing the Masterís degree are described in the regulations of the Master in Sciences and Practices of Education.
Students enrolled on a Masterís degree have the possibility of completing a study semester in a HEP-VD partner institution.If the study programme completed under the mobility scheme is approved and sanctioned by the passing of exa-minations, credits acquired will be reco-gnised and validated in the studentís degree course
