The profile is offered by the research group "International Business & Entrepreneurship" which focuses specifically on the international business activities of B2B companies within the setting of an increasingly internationalised world. The goal of the research group is to contribute to an improved understanding of the emergence and growth of firms in diverse markets, through the study of the organization of marketing and strategic activities both within the firm and through the interplay with other actors on the market.

The focus area of the profile is International Business Marketing with a distinct focus on the external stakeholders of the firm, especially the customers.

Graduates with this profile has therefore expanded their knowledge within the subjects that are relevant for this profile; retailing, services, business to business, marketing research as well as modules on other functional areas that influence management decisions in marketing. Furthermore, candidates will gain knowledge about and skills in using methods and tools which can support a career in marketing, sales, advertising or media related jobs. Programme Structure

The first two semesters comprises three compulsory courses each semester. In the third semester, you may choose between taking your electives at the University of Southern Denmark, at one of our many partner institutions or somewhere else, and you also have the possibility to gain some of the ECTS through an internship. The fourth semester is dedicated to completion of your Master’s thesis.

Test Scores

To apply for a Master's programme in Economics and Business Administration, you need a relevant Bachelor's degree. You can apply if you hold one of the following degrees:
  • BSc in Economics and Business Administration from University of Southern Denmark
  • BSc in Economics (Business Economics) from University of Southern Denmark.
You can also apply if you hold a similar Bachelor's degree including a minimum of 75 ECTS within the field of Economics and Business Administration, comprising at least 5 ECTS within each of the following subjects:
  • Microeconomics or Managerial Economics
  • Accounting
  • Corporate Finance
  • Marketing
  • Organizational theory
  • Statistics
  • Methods for collection and analysis of data (statistics or other qualitative or quantitative methods, including mathematics or operations research/operations management. Data collection may be included to a minor extend)
  • Theory of Science and Scientific Methodology and Methods - this only applies if your degree is not from a university
If your degree does not fulfill the entry requirements, the study board will decide whether you can follow one or more supplementary courses.
