Description

The History (European) MA focuses on events that have shaped modern Europe. You will look at topics from the French Revolution of 1789 to the end of the twentieth century.

What will you study?

You will pursue a range of courses in historical methods, which you will be able to relate to your own areas of interest within modern European history. Your focal point will be your dissertation for which you choose a topic in modern European history to explore in depth.

The history staff at Kingston have a wide range of research expertise in this period, particularly in German, French and Balkan history. We now also specialise in:

* Italian history;
* the history of fascism and the extreme right in modern Europe; and
