Moving up the management scale in any organisation requires you to become more strategic in your outlook, and to have an awareness of the wider issues at play. This MSc Strategic Management online degree course at the University of Derby is an excellent alternative to an MBA to help you develop your strategic, analytical and management skills.
We've designed this course so that it's flexible to suit you. It will take you 2-3 years to complete the full MSc, depending on how much learning you can fit in around your other commitments.
It offers a tailored progression route through three levels which culminates in the Masters award. You qualify fora PG Certificate after completing 3 modules, a PG Diploma after 6 modules and for the full Masters you'll need to complete the Certificate and Diploma level plus an Independent Study (triple module). So if you really cant complete the full programme, you can still gain an award and recognition for your work.
Studying online gives you the flexibility to study at the most convenient time and place for you. Course modules still operate within a fixed trimester but you can choose to study during the day, in the evenings or at the weekend rather than having to attend fixed lectures.
You can then choose four of the optional 20 credit modules below.
