About

Personalised media, green ICT, intelligent transport systems, connected TV, mobile payment and mobile learning are some of the areas in which we work. You will explore your creative skills and develop innovative and intelligent services based on concrete user needs. You will learn theories and methods related to entrepreneurship and application of ICT in companies and organisations.

At Aalborg University's Innovative Communication Technologies and Entrepreneurship programme you will learn about:

  • Internet, communication and broadcast technologies
  • Services, service architectures and platforms
  • Development of user-friendly applications and services
  • Advanced mobile media technologies, e.g. Google Android, HTML5 and Semantic Web
  • Content management, recommender systems and personalisation
  • Business development and business models
  • Use of ICT in companies and organisations
  • Security, privacy, legal and ethical aspects, including the use of digital identities.

With an MSc degree in Innovative Communication Technologies and Entrepreneurship from AAU-Cph, you are qualified for a job within:

You will be able to use your skills to develop new concepts, services, and solutions, and you can act as a link between development and sales & marketing functions. You can also work in strategy or business development and – who knows – become a real entrepreneur and start your own company!

English Language Requirements

You only need to take one of these language tests:

  • Minimum required score: 6.5

    The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The minimum IELTS score requirement refers to which Overall Band Score you received, which is your combined average score. Read more about IELTS.

  • Minimum required score: 560

    The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading).   • Minimum required score: 88

    The TOEFL – or Test Of English as a Foreign Language – offers an internet-based test (iBT). The final, overall iBT score ranges between 0 and 120, and includes a scaled average from the four components (reading, listening, speaking, and writing). Read more about TOEFL (iBT).

The following bachelor's programmes qualify for the master's programme in Innovative Communication Technologies and Entrepreneurship at Aalborg University Copenhagen:

Students with other Bachelor's degrees may be admitted if they are deemed to have comparable educational prerequisites within technical IT. The expected number of student places is 60.
