The LLM course offers a combination of theory and practical application that's relevant to the demands of international commercial practice, and in particular the relationship between legal disciplines and commercial undertakings.
It will give you the necessary background and legal expertise to work in international commercial law, or a range of other intellectually demanding roles – or to pursue academic research at the highest level.
You’ll investigate areas like commercial contracts, transnational commercial law and international commercial arbitration, but will also have the chance to specialise in your own areas of interest, such as corporate governance or company law.
Throughout the course you’ll develop research skills vital both to your assignments and your future career. Our teaching team consists of professionally qualified legal practitioners as well as research-active academics; in 2014, the Government acknowledged our ‘world-leading’ law research*.
