The MS in Financial and Management Accounting programme delivered at University of Oulu is part of several international Masters programmes at Oulu Business School. Students applying for the programme must possess an applicable B.Sc. degree in one of the following fields of study: business studies, social sciences, education, natural sciences, mathematics, or engineering.
The 2-year programme has two specialization options:
After the first semester, each student decides to pursue with a focus on courses of one of the two specializations.
Financial Accounting explores profit and loss accounting, usage of financial statement data in decision-making, incentive compensation of top management, auditing, and firm valuation.
Management Accounting focuses on cost accounting, budgeting, capital investment planning, and management control.

The IELTS – or the International English Language Test System – tests your English-language abilities (writing, listening, speaking, and reading) on a scale of 1.00–9.00. The CAE test – or the Cambridge Advanced English – is an exam for applicants who wish to get a Certificate in Advanced English. To receive the Advanced certificate, test-takers must score between 142 and 210 on the Cambridge English: Advanced test. Read more about CAE.

The TOEFL – or Test OF English as a Foreign Language – offers a paper-based test (PBT). The final, overall PBT score ranges between 310 and 677, and is based on an average taken from the three test components (listening, structure, and reading).
