Due to its large geographic footprint and participants coming from all 5 continents, the MBA Energy Management has a different module structure and is taught separately from the Professional MBAs.
The specialization in Energy Management is a unique tailor-made program setting world-class standards and enabling executives and their companies to succeed in the global energy market. Participants learn to apply state-of-the-art management and leadership techniques to cope with current and future challenges. A special focus is on non-technical management issues covering key energy markets (oil, gas, nuclear, renewable). Moreover, they aim to prepare participants for future changes arising from increasing environmental uncertainty and globalization. To this end, curricula have been developed by academics faculty in close cooperation with specialists and top executives from industry.

The Professional MBA’s didactic design ensures efficient knowledge transfer - while participants continue to pursue their career. Pedagogical approaches vary, ranging from interactive case studies to business simulations and formal presentations. The Professional MBA consists of consecutive blocked modules, each divided into: Pre-Module, Core-Module and Post-Module.
Total Program Fee and it includes course materials and catering during modules. Accommodation and travel expenses are not covered by the program fees. The program fee is VAT exempt according to § 6 paragraph 12 Austrian Value Added Tax Law. The program fee may be tax deductible.

Energy Regulation: Study the liberalization of energy markets and gain an overview of regulatory institutions. See how energy is transported and distributed.
Energy Trading: Understand energy trading systems (oil, gas and electricity) and examine energy as a global commodity. Gain knowledge of energy exchanges and bilateral contracts.

• Undergraduate degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or higher
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
