The project and process management specialization allows participants to gain profound knowledge and skills to optimize the handling of their projects. During this program participants get the chance to further develop their social competencies, vital for being an excellent project and process manager.
Moreover, it is the optimal preparation for the project management certification according to IPMA (International Project Management Association) or PMI (Project Management Institute) standards.
The Professional MBA Project & Process Management is aimed to provide a specialization in the field of project and process management. In 18 months participants gain a profound knowledge in the customized specialization project and process management as well as in business fundamentals. The last part of the program is reserved for the composing of the Master Thesis.

Project Management Methods: Learn how to define projects and gain an overview of the project management process. Acquire techniques for designing the project start process. Explore the application of project management methods (project objectives plan, work breakdown structure, different scheduling methods, project cost plan, project environment analysis).
Preparation for Project Management Certification: Study the preparation for certification and the required exam contents (IPMA - International Project Management Association or PMI - Project Management Institute).
Social Skills in Projects: Acquire detailed knowledge of leadership theory, the definition of project roles, the social competence for different project roles, intervention methods and the self-competence and attitude of the project manager.
Project & Program Organizations- Methods & Design: Gain an overview of traditional forms of project organization, with an emphasis on: influence project organization; matrix project organization; organizational design of projects; project roles; empowerment, integration, partnering in projects; communication structures; program management; program organization.
Project Costs, Project Risk Management & Project Discontrinuities: Learn to draw up a project costs plan, to manage project risks and to resolve project discontinuities.Gain thorough knowledge of risk identification and analysis, the scenario technique and alternative project plans.
Project Start, Project Controlling & Project Close-Down: Understand the project management process and analyze project start, project controlling and project close-down processes and methods.
Change & Projects: Take a look at different types of change within permanent organizations, the definition of change processes and the organizational design to manage changes. Compare transforming with radical new positioning. Learn to deal with resistance to change. Analyze the relationships between changes and projects.
Projectorientated Company Management: Acquire in-depth knowledge of the characteristics of a project-oriented company, exploring strategies, structures, cultures, specific processes as well as methods. Understand the principles of project portfolio management, the role of the project management office and analyze the maturity of the project-oriented company.
International Project Management: Overview and comparison of international project management approaches (International Competence Baseline [ICB] of the IPMA, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBoK] of PMI, Projects in Controlled Environments [Prince2] of OGC).
