The MSc in Computer Scvience offers students the option either to deepen their knowledge in one of the areas of computer science or to design their own study programme in General Computer Science via a cross-specialist combination of subjects. The programme concludes with a six-month Master´s thesis.
The Masters program in Computer Science is structured into several course categories. The minimal number of credits which have to be acquired in a category is stated next to the category name. Several course categories are nested which support a flexible study plan. The difference between the minimal number of credits in a category and the sum of the credit requirements of subcategories can be distributed freely within the category. Credits of a course are always assigned to one subcategory and they cannot be split between subcategories.
Please see the Study Guide (2010) for a detailed description of each course category and constraints on the choice of courses. The focus courses suitable for each Masters track are listed on the corresponding website.
