The master’s in Professional English-Spanish Translation seeks to train translation professionals capable of adapting to market needs, meeting clients expectations and successfully managing their own activity. For that purpose, students are offered a range of subjects aimed at developing professional skills in technical translation, legal translation and literary translation with special emphasis on translation technologies.

Academic Requirements

Admission qualifications

Official university degree in English Studies, Hispanic philology, Translation and Interpreting, Linguistics and related fields.

Official university degree in economics or law, and Engineers, Graduates and technical engineers in any field.

Specific documentation

A part from the compulsory documentation to pre-enroll to the programme, students must do submit the following documents: documentación adicional:

  • Level C1 in English and in Spanish of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages or native competence in both languages (such competition will be assessed by interview).

Selection criteria

Priority will be given to students with a degree in philology or translation and to translation professionals with proven experience.

Tuition fees:

  • 60 ECTS x €45 = €2,760
  • Taxes = €150
  • Total = €2,910

Students with foreign qualifications: In your first enrolment fee, you will be charged the Academic tax for university graduates from foreign education systems, set by the Catalan government at €218.15. Therefore, the approximate cost of the first year of the master’s degree will be €3,128.
