Throughout the programme three interconnecting areas of digital architecture are examined in order to develop a strong understanding of the theory base as well as practical experience and skills in the use, customisation and development of information and communication technologies. You will also complete an individual research project.

Students will select optional modules to the value of 20 credits in Semester 2, from modules offered on other programmes in the School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape, subject to the approval of the Degree Programme Director.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Per 6 April 2015 only the English language tests from IELTS and Trinity College London are accepted for Tier 4 Visa applications to the United Kingdom. Other tests (including TOEFL, TOEIC, Pearson, City & Guilds) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa. Since the Trinity College London language tests must be taken in one of their exam centres in the UK, IELTS is now the only language test accepted for Tier 4 visas to the UK that can be taken worldwide.
An upper-second-class Honours degree or equivalent, preferably in a design-related or ICT subject such as architecture, design, fine art, graphic design, architectural technology, architectural engineering, planning, landscape, civil engineering, software engineering, computer graphics, artificial intelligence, soft computing or communications.
Applicants are required to submit a letter stating the reasons for wanting to undertake the programme and a pdf portfolio of appropriate work. The pdf should be no more than 10 pages showing evidence of design and creative endeavour. The portfolio may contain, but is not limited to, examples of architecture, interior design, product and industrial design, interaction and digital design, graphics and communication design.
Applicants whose first language is not English require IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
No work experience is required.
