This programme provides opportunities to acquire a thorough understanding of marketing theories and how to apply them to real-world business challenges. It focuses on marketing in an international context, including the rapidly developing issues surrounding global communications and brand management. The MA is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

Description of International Marketing


The programme will equip you with relevant research techniques required to investigate and critically analyse international marketing issues. You will gain:

• systemic understanding and critical awareness of international marketing theory

• ability to apply theory to international case studies, markets and issues

• ability to measure market performance and consumer behaviour

• knowledge of ethical issues and their implications in marketing

English Language Requirements

IELTS take IELTS test

IMPORTANT NOTE: Per 6 April 2015 only the English language tests from IELTS and Trinity College London are accepted for Tier 4 Visa applications to the United Kingdom. Other tests (including TOEFL, TOEIC, Pearson, City & Guilds) are no longer accepted for Tier 4 visa applications to the United Kingdom. The university might still accept these tests to admit you to the university, but if you require a Tier 4 visa to enter the UK and begin your degree programme, these tests will not be sufficient to obtain your Visa. Since the Trinity College London language tests must be taken in one of their exam centres in the UK, IELTS is now the only language test accepted for Tier 4 visas to the UK that can be taken worldwide.

Requirements for International Marketing

An upper-second-class Honours degree, or international equivalent, is preferred.

Applicants whose first language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-sections), or equivalent.

Work Experience for International Marketing

No work experience is required.
