All programmes must be completed within five years of starting and are delivered via e-learning. The MSc programmes are designed to last three-five years but you will study at your own pace within the guidelines provided. The MSc programmes will normally take a minimum of three academic years to complete, to achieve this you must study 30 credits per semester.
Pathway Options
Oncology includes modules which are specific to the diagnosis, radical and palliative aspects of treatment.

Palliative Care focuses on supporting patients' complex pain / symptom / psychological needs.

Cancer Studies no specific pathway, students can choose from any of the modules offered.
Certificate (60 credits)
Each 10 credit module is the equivalent to 100 hours of notional study time. This includes time spent studying the course materials, networking with fellow students, reading, research, working through interactive activities preparing assessments, time spent with mentor, emailing your module leader and taking part in discussions boards.
All modules are offered subject to the constraints of the timetable and any restrictions on the number of students who may be taught that module. Not all modules will be offered each year.
We like to be as flexible as possible with students. You may wish to take fewer modules per semester. You can choose between 10 and 30 credits per semester depending on how quickly you want to finish your chosen programme.


A second-class Honours degree, or equivalent, in a health related subject. You must be IT literate to complete these highly interactive programmes and have access to a computer with a printer and a reliable Internet connection.

Applicants whose first language is not English require IELTS 7.0 (with a minimum of 7.0 in writing and reading and at least 6.5 in speaking and listening), TOEFL 100 (Internet-based), Pearson's PTE Academic Test 69 or equivalent.
